ECCS Asset Management Implementations and Upgrades

A brief synopsis of a sample of ECCS's Projects is provided below:

HOTEL

A new hotel and a new business, this organisation needed a CMMS system to organise and maintain the management of the hotel and its rooms. ECCS was commissioned to carry out an implementation of MAXIMO 'from scratch'; from defining the structure of the organisation and their assets through to loading the relevant data and providing training for the users to be able to use the system.

UNIVERSITY

ECCS completed an upgrade for this leading university to MAXIMO Version 7.  This included all aspects of the Project Lifecycle including the transfer of a number of existing / customised reports into the BIRT Reporting Tool.

PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY

Upgrade of a Pharmaceutical Company from Version 4 to 6.  This included all aspects of the Project Lifecycle.  Additional Validation aspects had to be addressed due to being a Pharmaceutical Client.

PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY

Upgrade from Version 4 to MXES for a leading Pharmaceutical Client.  This involved a multiple instance set-up and covered all aspects of the Upgrade Lifecycle from Installation through to Data Migration and Validation Processes.  Bespoke Java Code Development was created to add the additional functionality and customisations required by the client.

FACILITIES MANAGEMENT COMPANY

ECCS completed a complex upgrade for this company.  This involved a significant amount of data loading together with trouble shooting as the data had to be extracted from a multiple set-up database; various customisations were also required.  Training and on-going support has been provided as part of the implementation.

Further works completed included customisation and design together with analysing and mapping the data structure, designing and writing the Functional Specification, Technical guidance to the business support team, providing support to the business users for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and providing technical guidance in developing reports for the business users.  This customer recently completed a further upgrade with ECCS to Version 7.

FOOD MANUFACTURER

Upgrade to MAXIMO 6 including System Configuration and advising on the Business Process Set Up, creating Custom Reports, Java Customization and creating new Escalations.

PRINTING COMPANY

Upgrade to Version 7 including the Design and Implementation of a JDE Interface incorporating Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Invoices, and Vendors.  Further Java customisation work was also completed for this customer.

POWER COMPANY

A gas-fired power station had been using MAXIMO version 5 for a number of years when they required the services of ECCS to extend the capabilities of their systems by introducing the Visual Planner suite to their platform. They needed a graphical way to manage Preventive Maintenance and their Work Orders to prove they were able to meet regulation standards. ECCS carried out the implementation of Visual Planner for MAXIMO, as well as the customisation of the various screens of the Visual Planner and Visual Scheduler applications as requested by the customer to meet their needs.

NETWORK MANAGEMENT COMPANY

This client is a Network Management company mainly focussed on highways and needed a platform to schedule the necessary work to be conducted on a particular project to keep track of the assets' performance (periodic checking, repairs, purchases, etc.).

ECCS was commissioned to install MAXIMO Version 7 and have been heavily involved in integration with an existing system. Through a series of workshops it was possible to determine key aspects of the project such as:

  • Requirement Analysis.
  • Process Flow Description.
  • Maximo Database Model and Functionality.
  • MAXIMO Customisation Specification to meet further Requirements.

This company also needed a system that could be used on mobile devices. ECCS conducted research to determine the most suitable devices to match requirements. Features like RFID tag reading facilities were needed and ECCS dealt with the manufacturers and suppliers agreeing on payment and delivery options.

ECCS created a range of documentation to assist the implementation stage, providing spreadsheets, templates and scripts to automate the process as much as possible.
